Open Source Intelligence: How to find anyone's phone number
Google Dorks
Sometimes people link their phone number and
email to their Facebook profile, so typing it into a Facebook search may display the
profile. Another option is to look up a database of user-provided phone numbers,
such as whocalledme.com. This database is
not limited to the United States, but European numbers can be looked up as well.
Also, for those who want something like this but on a mobile device, there
are several applications: privacystar.com,
getcontact.com and
everycaller.com.
There are many
reverse phone lookup services, and they are usually country or region specific, so
find the one that fits your needs.
PhoneInfoga
PhoneInfoga is one
of the most advanced tools for scanning phone numbers using only free resources. The
goal is to first gather basic information about any international phone number in a
very accurate way, such as country, region, carrier and line type. Then try to
identify the VoIP provider or search the footprint on search engines to try to
identify the owner.
Characteristics:
· Check if the phone number
exists and is possible
· Collect standard information such as country, line
type and carrier
· Check multiple numbers at once
· OSINT
reconnaissance using external APIs, Google Hacking, phone books, & search engines
· Use custom formatting for more effective OSINT reconnaissance
Android emulators
Many Android apps will work fine
on the emulator, but some apps may not work as expected. However, running apps on
the emulator has many advantages: your real account or phone number will be safe
because you don't have to install faulty apps on your phone, and you can easily
spoof GPS coordinates.
Save the number in your phone and then check the list
of Viber or WhatsApp contacts. These services allow adding photos, biographies and
names of the owner and extracting this information just by knowing the phone number.
· Bluestacks - made
mainly for gamers, but also runs other applications. Available for Windows, Mac and
Linux, no virtual machine is needed to set it up, so it is easier to install than
Genymotion.
· Genymotion
- Widely used by developers, but there is also a free version for personal use.
Available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, with a range of virtual appliances to choose
from. Use IntelTechniques' guide to set up the emulator.
